McConnell accuses Democrats of inserting ‘poison pill’ into border security talks

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said House Democrats added a “poison pill demand” into the bicameral border security negotiations “at the 11th hour,” referring to the proposed 16,500 cap on Immigration and Customs Enforcement beds.

“I would implore my friends across to aisle to untangle yourselves from the most extreme far left voices out on the fringe,” McConnell said.
